  1. "Im not usually drawn to hard science fiction, but the humanity and charm of the characters pulled me in. I found myself waiting with baited breath for the answer to the central mystery to be revealed, and delighted in the outcome"

  2. Science fiction is at its best when the tale entwines the individuals, human or inhuman, and society, within a new science based “What if?” idea. Ellen Naismith has excelled in all of these areas. Ellen provides us with new evolutionary potential, perhaps driven by our industrial (capitalistic based) come scientific revolution, raw beautifully crafted characters, with which, we ride their emotional rollercoaster, and seeds the development of a new order in society. This is a great read that drew me in, made me believe, held me tight till the last page and once finished demands a(n) “I want more!”.

  3. Wow, just wow! best.....science fiction novella....ever! can't wait to the next part of the series, need questions answered :) some science fiction novels can be too far fetched. Your use of real science concepts and language to make a great story that can relate to what happens and what can happen in reality is amazing. It's a high distinction with honours from me :)

  4. Wanderer is an enthralling and satisfying read with the character development, locations and medical twist.
The intensity and excitement to the end twist was gripping and left me wanting more. Well written El, can't wait for the next book.

  5. There's no reason to gild this lily - its beauty shines regardless. What makes Wanderer so special is El's ability to surprise her reader. To turn our typical notions of where a story is going and turn them on their heads. Wander is sensational. It will sweep you off your feet. It will smack you across your face, gently with even a hint of love. It will enrapture you. Let it. Let it wrap around you and become a part of you. You'll be surprised at how it changes you.

  6. I found the characters and the environment to be quite realistic and the writing clear and economic. So when things developed in the story I had to keep reminding myself that the events were beyond that of the norm. It's a good read. Bring on the next instalment

  7. El is the earth mother of science fiction. I loved the blend of "just in the future" science with the natural themes. Like all good science fiction this was a ripping yarn but also has a beauty and lyricism seldom found in this genre. El has an ability to make us care about the characters and as the story unfolded I really wanted the strange journey they were on to work out well. Was enthralled to the last page and can't wait for the next instalment.

  8. Found myself with a copy of 'Wanderer' thinking sci fi is not for me. If a story doesn't get me within the first few pages, then (I won't give it the flick) I'll give myself a time frame of about 3 weeks to dutifully continue with it. Well... I read it within 2 days. Nothing else happened at home (sorry family). Thoroughly enjoyed it, can't wait for more to come.
